She is a beauty blogger based in Dubai, and her cosmetics line currently includes false lashes, lip liners and matte liquid lipsticks.
Hailed as the next big thing (there were riots in Harrods when the range landed in August), I was super excited to try out the matte liquid lipstick in the shade Gossip Gurl.
Unlike most beauty bloggers who were gifted these when launched, I bought this for myself as an early Eid present, which is why I’m only reviewing one shade.
HOW MUCH IS IT?
Available on CultBeauty and now in-store in Harrods, this is an eye wateringly expensive £18. Add in postage, and it came to about £21 from CultBeauty.
WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE?
There are 16 shades from nudes, reds to berries.
The lipstick comes in the best packaging I’ve ever owned with Huda’s own lips encasing the lipstick in a plastic case that slides out.
HOW DOES IT WEAR?
I applied one coat and that is all you need to cover your whole lip. The consistency is runny, but dries down matte, with an almost tacky feeling immediately, which fades after a couple of hours.
I wore this when travelling to my in-laws and from 12 pm – 10 pm, the lipstick never faded.
My lips felt very dry afterwards, so make sure you moisturise properly and exfoliate your lips as matte lipsticks tend to show every crack if you haven’t prepared them.
WOULD I RECOMMEND IT?
As soon as I have some spare cash, I’m planning to buy some more shades in the range as these are perfect for wearing to weddings and events as even after oily foods, these won’t budge!
I wouldn’t wear these on an every day basis as matte lipsticks dry your lips out, so you need to do some TLC to get them back to normal.
